Islington Festival of Music and Art News
The 2026 Fundraiser takes place on 23 January. As is the tradiion, this stellar event sold out within hours of being put on sale!
The 2026 Festival will have 14 concerts, staring 24 July and finishing 2 August, all around the Borough of Islington.
The full programme will be annouced at Eastertime. -
Portuguese Stamp for the Maestro!
CTT Portugal, the Company which makes Stamps, has announced a new Series of 4 stamps to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Orquestra Clássica da Madeira, with whom Martin has established a long and happy working relationship. Martin is extremely thrilled that the orchestra and CTT decided that one of the stamps should be a photograph of Martin conducting the orchestra last year in Funchal, in a performance of Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 5. The stamp costs €1,20!
